Why am I a candidate for Ward 1 Alderwoman?
Ward 1 is more than the heart of our city — it’s home to families, small businesses, neighbors, and the energy that makes Annapolis thrive. As your representative, I will focus on making government more accessible, tackling the rising cost of living, addressing flooding and infrastructure challenges, and ensuring our community is safe and sustainable now and for the future.
Genevieve's Leadership
- Represented Ward 1 for six years as the appointed Commissioner and later elected Chair of Art in Public Places for the City of Annapolis four times
- Leveraged the arts as a platform for community growth, working in sub-committees to define new goals in economic growth and development
- Co-led a team of arts organizations, alongside the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, to develop a 10-year Master Plan for the future of the Annapolis arts community
- Served on the Nitty Gritty Committee and the City Dock Action Committee, gaining valuable insight into the city’s sustainability and resiliency needs
